OUR PROMISE
“At Keshi, we do more than deliver technology. We forge partnerships.”
Chief Executive Officer, Keshi Holdings Limited
Keshi Holdings LimitedCompany Profile03
Who we are

A technology partner built
for Africa’s trade corridors

Keshi Holdings Limited is a Kenyan technology services company. We deliver modular, enterprise-grade digital platforms to government agencies and private logistics operators across East and Central Africa.

Our work helps revenue authorities and customs administrations replace legacy, paper-bound processes with agile, data-driven systems. Electronic cargo tracking and fleet management sit at the centre of the portfolio. Around them we have built aviation, container guarantee and clearing-and-forwarding platforms.

Every platform rests on vendor neutrality and open integration. Agile and DevOps delivery keeps release cycles short and lets deployments scale from a single corridor to a national network.

Deployment is only half the job. We set up local maintenance centres, run training programmes and provide round-the-clock support, so each system stays productive long after go-live.

Our technical leadership brings decades of combined experience in logistics and software engineering. Close working relationships with public institutions and industry players across the continent keep our products tied to conditions on the ground.

Message from the CEO

Technology with local insight, built as a partnership

Our mission at Keshi Holdings Limited is clear. We champion Africa’s digital transformation by pairing innovative technology with deep knowledge of the markets we serve. Each market has its own operational hurdles, and we take it as our duty to simplify complex processes with solutions that are robust, secure and tailored to the client.

That principle comes from a commitment to sustainable growth for the clients we serve as much as for our own company.

We do more than deliver technology. We build partnerships. Our teams work alongside stakeholders so every solution reflects realities on the ground. That means agile development, localised products and thorough training that leaves lasting value behind.

We judge ourselves by the impact we create. Operational metrics and transaction counts matter, but the real test is whether we have cut inefficiency, removed unnecessary cost and opened new revenue for clients across the continent.

Choosing Keshi means choosing a partner invested in your success, ready to deliver secure, scalable and forward-looking solutions that turn challenges into opportunities. I invite you to explore our portfolio and join us in reshaping the continent’s digital landscape.

Electronic Cargo
Tracking System

Our flagship ECTS gives revenue authorities and logistics operators real-time cargo monitoring, route control and strong security across African trade corridors. It runs on an open-source stack, which keeps it vendor-neutral and straightforward to connect with customs platforms, logistics networks and third-party systems.

It is the platform behind our KRA approval and our national customs deployment in the DRC.

An integrated ecosystem in three layers

Physical layer

IoT sensors, cargo eSeals and fuel eSeals that report lock status, location and tamper events.

Verification layer

Automated checkpoints with RFID readers and OCR cameras that match truck, container and seal to the manifest.

Digital layer

A central platform with AI anomaly detection, predictive analytics and a blockchain-backed audit trail.

Key technical components

Real-time tracking. Live updates in under five seconds from GPS-enabled eSeals, streamed through Apache Kafka with Redis caching for fast response.
Geo-fencing and route control. Fences for primary and secondary routes flag deviations, unscheduled stops, idle time and border crossings.
AI anomaly detection. GPS tracks are cross-checked against seal alerts to surface suspicious events, with historical data used to map theft-prone areas.
Immutable records. Every seal event from locking at origin to release at destination is logged to a blockchain-enabled ledger.
Access control. Keycloak-based RBAC limits each user to their role, whether customs officer, operator or technician.
Secure API gateway. JWT credentials, encryption and rate-limiting govern every external integration.
Standards-based APIs. REST services in JSON, XML and text link directly to customs systems such as KRA iCMS.
Scalable by design. Microservices on Kubernetes handle thousands of users and millions of transactions, even on thin bandwidth.
Reporting & analytics. A central dashboard with map views, configurable corridor reports, border-crossing times, incident rates and live alarm status. Shipping volumes, violation hotspots and route efficiency feed resource planning for authorities and operators alike.

Tracking as a Service

Compliance without
ownership

Keshi acts as the technology underwriter. We own the devices, manage their lifecycle and carry the risk. Clients use the service to move cargo and pay only when trucks move.

01

Pay-per-move

One flat fee per trip covers hardware, data and upkeep. Idle trucks cost nothing.

02

Signal guarantee

Dual-SIM failover and store-and-forward buffering leave no gaps in the audit trail.

03

Swap, don’t repair

Battery levels are watched fleet-wide and weak units swapped at a hub before they fail.

04

Dual-feed data

Compliance data goes to the authority. Operational data goes to the client’s private dashboard.

05

Corridor passport

One seal from Kenya into Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan and the DRC. No reseal at borders.
